Roofing inspections are necessary to determine the integrity of your roof, and to predict when it may need to be replaced. We will inspect the structural durability of your roof, the coverings, gutters, downspouts, flashing, and any skylights or chimneys. Included in your report will be a description of materials used for your roof and the methods we used to inspect all of these elements.
The purpose of an electrical inspection is to thoroughly examine the wiring, electrical systems, and components of your home to confirm that they meet legal safety standards. We will determine the amperage rating of your home, location of major connective panels, proper smoke and carbon monoxide detection, and the predominant wiring method used in your home.
During your plumbing inspection we will inspect your faucets and fixtures, ensure proper water drainage, inspect your hot water supply system, and ensure the integrity of your sewage ejectors, among other things. We will also determine the location of your water mains, the energy source of your water heating system, and locate any fuel shut-off valves (when applicable).
Your exterior inspection will be conducted to ensure the integrity of any wall coverings, flashing and trim. We will inspect your exterior doors, ground level eaves and soffits, adjacent porches, decks, stoops, etc. confirm proper grading of the property to ensure no adverse effects from ground water, and inspect any patios, driveways and entryway walkways adjacent to your building.
Crawlspace inspections are conducted to ensure there are no major issues looming under your home. Some of the the factors we are looking for include, but are not limited to, termite and moisture damage, potential mold or mildew issues, any wiring issues, evidence of hazardous materials (such as asbestos), proper ventilation, and the presence of any animals or vermin.
Our foundation inspections are useful in determining the stability of your homes foundation. We are looking for potential issues such as cracking, damaged walls or flooring, and any sinking that may occur. We will also look for any water leaks or heaving (the foundation moving upward). A foundation inspection is paramount in determining the structural integrity of the entire home or commercial property.
Interior home inspections include an inspection of the interior walls, ceilings and floors, your stairways and railings, installed counter tops, a representative sample of cabinetry, any installed major appliances (ovens, ranges, other surface cooking appliances, dishwashers, and food disposal units), garage doors and their controls, and a representative sample of interior windows and doors.
To ensure the integrity of your homes heating and cooling systems we will inspect your homes access panels, installed heating and cooling equipment, vent systems, flues, chimneys, and distribution systems. Annual inspections of your heating and cooling systems can ensure proper function and efficiency, and detect issues before they cause catastrpic falilure, saving you big money in the long run.
Radon is a radioactive, cancer-causing gas that can build up underneath your home if proper precautions have not been taken during constructi0n. According to the Surgeon General, radon contamination is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer.
